Rory Varrato, Ph.D.

Rory Varrato, Ph.D., is a philosopher, an educator, and a psychoanalyst-in-training.

Rory is a recent graduate of both the Philosophy and Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University in the City of New York, as well as the Scholars Program at the Western New England Institute for Psychoanalysis in New Haven, CT.

Rory is currently a candidate in the Licensure-Qualifying Program in Psychoanalysis at the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis & Psychology.

Rory is a co-founder of Extinction Rebellion NYC, and his interdisciplinary research focuses broadly on clinical, educational, philosophical, and political interventions for ameliorating psychoterratic illnesses and fostering sustainability in the Anthropocene.
